For Carter, understanding suspension started long before Elite Shock Services opened its doors. He grew up around circle-track racing, gaining firsthand experience with how the right shock setup can change the way a vehicle handles and performs. He later brought that experience to QA1, where he worked as a circle-track suspension specialist.
After stepping away from the industry for a time, Carter continued getting calls from racers and vehicle owners who trusted him to solve suspension problems and help with custom projects. He kept doing the work on the side, and the projects kept coming. Eventually, that steady demand became Elite Shock Services, a full-time shop built around the knowledge and service customers were already seeking him out for.
Elite Shock Services has grown beyond its circle-track roots. Today, the shop works on shocks and suspension systems for Ford Raptors, Ram TRXs, UTVs and side-by-sides, snowmobiles, street and drag racing vehicles, and other performance applications.
Customers can bring an entire vehicle to the shop for evaluation, installation and custom work, or ship eligible shocks to us for service. Whether we are rebuilding a worn shock, tuning a suspension for a specific application or helping plan a custom build, we start by understanding the vehicle, how it is used and what the customer wants to improve.
